Conference Room AV

Hi all,

The majority of presentations and hybrid meetings in the conference room can be conducted wirelessly. I’ve updated the instructions to reflect that.

If staff want to use HDMI for a wired presentation, I’ve moved the adaptor and HDMI cord to the ground-floor desk with the other cords/adaptors.

Patron being inappropriate on phone

A male patron called today and asked for a number of book titles. The patron became inappropriate and staff hung up on them. This is okay. Do not feel that you need to stay on the line for this at all. This patron has called here and other libraries in the past for the same reason. They are being inappropriate.

Do not give your name. Forward to a supervisor if needed. Hanging up IS an option.

Local Reading partners list

Hi everyone,

I am working on a list of our local partner organizations and the RPL staff liaisons. I thought we’d already had one, but I can’t find it it lives on the S drive under: Library Files\02 Working Groups and Teams\Outreach Working Group

While this is a living document, I’d like to have any current liaisons listed by Thursday, December 19th.

Meeting Room AV instructions

Updated Conference Room instructions and Community Room AV instructions have been created. A printed copy is available in the Conference Room. They are saved on the Instructions Page of the staff intranet and are on the S drive under Library Files\Manuals-Instructions\Meeting Room Instructions.

COMPLIMENT

Patron was very complimentary for our restrooms. She liked all the items pertaining to women, phone number to call and the posting for “don’t flush” sign on paper towel holder. She rated us above a ten – and also said she would expect nothing less from this library!!
